Occupational Hearing Conservationist Certification Refresher Course

Course 2 Details

This one (1) day course is designed for those who have previously successfully completed (within the last five (5) years) the Council for Accreditation of Occupational Hearing Conservation in an approved twenty (20 hour) course. Lectures and subject matter are designed for discussion and review of the basic elements and problems in industrial hearing testing and hearing conservation.

Audiometric Refresher (Re-Certification) Course:

• Federal and State Regulation Relating to Noise and Hearing Loss

• The Audiometer and Audiometric Test Environment

• Audiometric Test Techniques

• Supervised Audiometric Techniques

• Audiogram Review, Referral and Employee Follow-up

• Personal Hearing Protection

• Employee Education and Motivation

• Record Keeping

• Role of the Occupational Hearing Conservationist

• Additional Instruction / Practicum

• Testing Practicum and Written Examination
